Accessibility is important for including all groups in society. Facilities like Vossabadet should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, stage of life, functional ability and conditions - as far as possible. It's about closing the expectation gap. Here, we do everything we can to ensure that you perceive Vossabadet as accessible.

And we couldn't agree more. Because accessibility isn't just about physical solutions, it's also about attitude, insight, and the ability to see things with new eyes. We listen to our users, try to understand different needs, and are always looking for smart ways to make the experience with us even better for everyone.
At Vossabadet, you should feel welcome, safe, and cared for. Our staff is solution-oriented, and our facility is constantly being developed to be more accessible and inclusive.

Various adaptations
- We have guidelines and tactile signage for the HC locker rooms and inside the swimming hall. We still recognize that some things could be better. We are therefore happy to help show the way if you need it. Don't be afraid to ask.
- We work closely with our website provider to ensure our website is universally designed in accordance with NS, EN, and ISO standards - as well as WCAG, W3C, and WAI standards.
Companion certificates and companion tickets
Vossabadet accepts companion certificates. Companions only pay the regular ticket.
One companion per user is accepted per companion certificate. If more companions are needed, separate certificates must be presented. Prices can be found here.
HC Parking
There is HC parking and parking spaces right outside the door to Vossabadet.
Threshold-free and stair-free access
Vossabadet has short, stair-free, and barrier-free access from the parking lot and on the ground floor. Here you can walk straight into the reception and further into the swimming pool.
Automatic doors and buttons at the correct height
We have automatic or electric door controls.
The entrance door is an automatic sliding door, and most other doors can be opened with a button or automatically.
However, some doors, such as those on the HC changing rooms, have locks and are therefore not automatic. Please contact the reception if you need assistance - we will be happy to help you!
Universally designed wardrobes
In Vossabadet, there are 2 gender-neutral, universally designed wardrobes with space for an electric wheelchair, tactile signage, as well as hooks, shelves, and cabinets at an accessible height.
HC toilet
In Vossabadet, there is a universally designed toilet in both the HC changing rooms on the ground floor, as well as a public toilet on the 2nd floor - accessible by elevator. The elevator accommodates most wheelchairs.
Therapy pool with platform lift
A good example of good accessibility is our therapy pool. Not only is the pool 33 degrees. But we have a motorized platform lift that makes it possible for wheelchair users and others who cannot use the stairs to get safely and easily into the water. A bit like a lowering floor.
Mobile peroneel-lift - availability in the 25m pool
We have a mobile personnel-lift that can be attached to the floor. This allows you to get help to get down safely into the 25-meter pool and. This lift is intended as an aid for the lift itself, not for transport, so we try to make it effective, gentle, and short-term, so that you don't have to hang on to the sling for a long time.
🗓️ Planning is key
To make it go as smoothly as possible, it's a good idea to plan a little in advance. We want to minimize the time you spend in the lift and reduce the risk of tangles and messes.

HC access to stands
An elevator takes you to the 2nd floor and to the grandstand, where there is space for both a wheelchair and automatic doors controlled by a button at an accessible height.
